Guest speakers Steven Nadel (Executive Director, American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy), Duane Jonlin (Energy Code and Energy Conservation Advisor, City of Seattle, Department of Planning & Development), and Michael Rosenberg (Senior Scientist, PNNL) will discuss what energy codes might be like in the distant future and how codes may drive future building safety, efficiency and sustainability. They will also share their views on zero-net-energy buildings, future retrofits codes, restructuring codes in order to provide more flexibility, and policy platforms that address fresh-air rights, solar rights and connected neighborhoods.
