k12itc, Inc. – Kansas City (Where are they now?)
Congratulations to BDP client K12itc, winner of the Mr. K Award!
The award is named after Ewing Kauffman and honors the Kansas City area’s top small business annually.
Founder and CEO Brad Sandt, a former school IT specialist who rose to become director of technology for the Park Hill School District, perceived the lack of tech solutions for overburdened school districts. He decided to provide superior IT solutions to schools.
The results have been impressive: The company grew from an idea to a 24-employee, multi-million dollar firm that increased revenue by an astronomical 400 percent in three years and increased its client base 300 percent to more than 30 school districts. During the past five years, revenue has skyrocketed, with a 18,000 percent growth rate.
“We have a passion for what we do. We believe better technology leads to better teaching,” said Sandt in an interview.
