National Small Business Week April 30-May 6

More than half of all Americans own or work for small businesses, which create about two of every three new jobs in the U.S. each year, according to the U.S. Small Business Administration.

National Small Business Week April 30 - May 6, 2017

To celebrate the impact small businesses have on the economy and American culture, SBA devotes one week every May to small businesses — National Small Business Week.

BDP client Phillip Cohen, Cohen Architectural Woodworking, Saint James has been named this year’s Small Business Person of the Year from Missouri. A BDP client for more than a decade, Cohen has grown his firm from a two-person (himself and his wife) home-based firm to a multimillion dollar, national business with about 75 employees. Cohen and all other state and territorial winners will compete in national SBA small business awards in several categories. National winners will be announced during National Small Business Week.

Small Business Week Eastern MissouriA number of other BDP clients have been named Small Business Week of Eastern Missouri 2017 winners, including Exporter Business of the Year BeWell Health, LLC, Columbia, DBA Nasopure.
