Visit the BDP booth at the State Fair, Sedalia, Aug. 10-20
The University of Missouri Extension Business Development Program (BDP) will be part of the MU Extension display at the Missouri State Fair, which runs from Thursday, Aug. 10 through Sunday, Aug. 20 at the state fairgrounds in Sedalia.
Stop by to say hi!
And a chance to win a pretty darn good gift basket stuffed with items from the wide range of businesses the BDP serves.
The BDP’s will be one of several MU Extension booths in the Mizzou Central Building, formerly the Mo-Ag Theater. View hours, a map and directions. Extension’s mission is to engage people to understand change, solve problems and make informed decisions using university education and information for economic viability, empowered individuals, strong families and communities and healthy environments.
To say there’s a lot happening at the fair is an understatement. Every day all 15 or so buildings will be jam-packed with show animal competitions, rodeos and stampedes, motocross events, tractor pulls (including a garden tractor pull for kids), demolition derbies, magic shows, pig races, concerts and other events, including the 2017 Missouri State Fair Idol contest, performances by country stars Alan Jackson, Lee Ann Womack, Travis Tritt, The Charlie Daniels Band, The Marshall Tucker Band and much, much more.
Have we mentioned the Mizzou Central Building is air conditioned? The grandstands and some buildings are not. And it’s August. Be sure to stop by!
